ArcelorMittal Galati has achieved the second consecutive year without recording any fatal work related accidents.
Safety is endless, it is an ongoing process
In 2013, ArcelorMittal Galati will continue and increase its efforts to improve on H&S.
"Although good results are still obtained, we are not satisfied yet with the level of sustainability. For instance, the number of Lost Time Injury accidents is still too high: 7 in 2012 as compared to 5 in 2011 among our own employees and 9 as compared to 7 among the contractors. Our goal can be achieved, it is crystal clear and constant: Zero Accidents", said Bruno Ribo, Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal Galati.
An overview of some of the H&S actions over the last 2 years:
Health and safety conditions to the workers and subcontractors will remain also in 2013 the first priority.
