For their new roofing range, Ateliers 3S sought a flat steel specially designed for roofing, with a low carbon footprint, high durability, excellent aesthetics, and above-average rigidity.
La Parisienne is lightweight and modular, allowing for easy installation on complex roofing. It is suitable for various types of roofing, and is self-supporting, with the steel roofing sheet providing resistance to climate conditions and bearing from one purlin to another. This feature allows for greater design flexibility.

XCarb® steel offers a substantial reduction in carbon footprint at manufacturing stage, being produced in an electric arc furnace (EAF) using high levels of scrap and 100-percent renewable electricity.
Additionally, the high yield strength of the steel substrate of La Parisienne offers even greater carbon footprint efficiency, as it optimises the consumption of steel.
Altogether, the combination of both features allows La Parisienne to exhibit a 67% reduction in carbon footprint, compared with the traditional blast furnace production route.
