In November 2025, ArcelorMittal held a highly successful Tech Day at the Nissan Technical Center Europe (NTC-E) in Cranfield, UK. More than 150 visitors – including teams from Nissan and major Tier 1 supplier Unipres – took part in a full day of presentations, exhibits and
in-depth discussions.

“We appreciate the depth of technical expertise ArcelorMittal brings to our engineering teams. Events like this Tech Day strengthen our collaboration and help us accelerate innovation for future Nissan vehicles.”

Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with colleagues from ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products’ customer team and Tailored Blanks, Tubular Products, the fast prototyping & laser cutting service centre and Global R&D, making this one of the largest Tech Days ever hosted at NTC-E.

Strong momentum in technical collaboration

Discussions with Nissan Europe’s Senior Management highlighted the strong nature of our collaboration.
Key focus areas included:

  • ArcelorMittal Multi Part Integration® (MPI) solution studies
  • How we can support Nissan’s approval process with our wide range of Global R&D services
  • Exploring advanced body-in-white, chassis design, battery pack and traction machine steel solutions together
  • ArcelorMittal’s XCarb® decarbonisation efforts to support the automotive industry

Exchanging expertise to build future solutions

The showroom exhibition and expert exchanges allowed Nissan teams to explore solutions at their own pace and discuss concrete applications directly with ArcelorMittal specialists. These open and technical discussions underlined the value of close collaboration in translating innovation into future vehicle concepts.
