An impressive capacity of 2,700 places on six levels
A group of companies represented by Gagnepark was commissioned to design and build the F4 car park, which would feature a façade made from an imposing steel mesh.
To create this ambitious façade, Gagnepark called on Joris Ide. The remit was to combine over 50% surface perforation, for optimal ventilation in the car park, with specific geometry, working within a strict budget and a tight schedule and with a requirement for an extended lifetime – it was quite a challenge
and Joris Ide rose to it.

Aluzinc® Florelis made by ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products was selected for this demanding project. Joris Ide, a loyal customer of ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products, has in fact made Aluzinc® Florelis its choice on many occasions for projects such as the Bressuire shopping centre, a housing development in Paris and the construction of a kit house in Alsace.

To find a solution to the industrial demands of Gagnepark, Joris Ide carried out an extensive preliminary study and held various discussions with ArcelorMittal. All the material was produced in a single run to ensure consistency.
Thanks to Aluzinc® Florelis, the F4 car park façade reflects the light during the day. At night, the artificial lighting inside can be seen from outside, giving the structure the look of a gigantic lantern. The effect of the silver spangle is especially beautiful and the building inevitably catches the eye from every angle.
The natural and mineral quality of Aluzinc® Florelis produces an end result that is modern, yet understated, while blending perfectly with the surroundings.
