ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products has been at the forefront of digital initiatives which simplify life for our customers. One of our most indispensable electronic tools – the SteelUser interface – has become simpler and more efficient. And we have launched Steely, our very first chatbot, ready to answer your questions.

Ask Steely

Ever wanted to know more about a particular product from ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products? Or where to find the latest edition of our eUpdate client magazine? Who to contact for more information? Why not ask Steely, the brand new chatbot from ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products? He’s available now from every page of the Flat Products website – flateurope.arcelormittal.com.

Steely is integrated into ArcelorMittal’s digitalisation strategy for the future. The beta version of the chatbot is your opportunity to test the tool and provide feedback. We’ll use your comments and suggestions to make Steely even more responsive to your needs.

The chatbot is currently an interactive list of frequently asked questions (FAQs). That means it doesn’t know the answer to absolutely every question – yet! But don’t worry. If Steely can’t find the answer, he’ll collect your email address and ask a human to investigate and get in touch with you.

How to ask Steely a question

To use Steely, simply click on the icon in the bottom right of any page on flateurope.arcelormittal.com, and choose an option from the menu.

In the longer version of this story – which you access here – you can find practical examples of how to find information about a specific product, or how to find a contact for a product in your area.

Discover the new SteelUser

ArcelorMittal is expanding SteelUser to become an omni-platform communication channel for customers.

The design of SteelUser services has become simpler and more efficient, and new features have been added to the app. New mobile-specific features include the ability to scan a barcode on an ArcelorMittal product to identify the material, retrieve certificates, and provide feedback about a specific coil.

Customers will also be able to request quotes for customised products, call-off material, track alerts, and exchange information with customer service.

Many features can be directly integrated into the customer’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system through API (Application Programming Interface) technology. That puts information such as the production and delivery status of an order, directly into the customer’s own IT systems and ensures the information is available to the entire business.
